I think when it comes to school projects, groupwork is always the bane of existence.  Working with your best friends can be a bad idea, because there’s either an inordinate amount of slacking off, or tensions arise that put a strain on the relationship when things get stressful.  Working with a stranger is kind of a hit-or-miss thing, where yeah you could end up with a really great person who’s as committed as you are… or the proverbial grab bag of group-related drama.  READ MORE »

I went out for a gorgeous long walk in the spring weather yesterday.  If it was up to me the temperature would hover just between zero and ten degrees, and would never even think of reaching way up into the thirties.  But that’s the winter queen talking, and I know people who are looking forward to summer’s scorchiness who would gladly smack me upside the head for even thinking such thoughts.

In my last post I had described Ottawa as “quaint and cute”, and Kaylee (who knows a thing or two about it) responded with
